Sterling Software and Secant Technologies Form Alliance to Provide First End-to-End Solution for Next-Generation Enterprise JavaBeans

PLANO, Texas, January 24, 2000 - Sterling Software, Inc.’s (SSW-NYSE) Application Development Group, today announced a strategic alliance with Secant Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of advanced application server software technology, to provide the industry’s first end-to-end solution for developing today’s most scalable and reliable e-business applications. Sterling Software and Secant Technologies will work together to provide their mutual customers the most comprehensive support for the Java 2 platform with the goal of reducing development time.
